Sergei Isupov FIGURE – GROUND: July 14th – 18th, 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia

Join internationally acclaimed sculptor Sergei Isupov for FIGURE – GROUND:
Illustrated Sculpture, an intensive workshop exploring the sculpted form in clay, the
painted surface and development of a personal narrative. At Asuurkeraamika Ceramic Centre, in Tallinn, Estonia. The workshop will combine hands-on active studio with demonstrations, one-on-one instruction and illustrated lectures. Studio Asuurkeraamika is a ceramics centre located in a medieval tower that once guarded Tallinn’s Old Town. Cristina Córdova FLESHING: July 29th – August 4th, 2018

Cristina Córdova will visit to Project Art as a guest artist to teach FLESHING: a figurative sculpture workshop. This workshop will cover basic concepts of anatomy and proportion to create figurative sculptures built with slabs and finished with slips and underglaze transfers. Enjoy fall in the Berkshires with Sergei Isupov for FIGURE – GROUND: Illustrated Sculpture, an intensive workshop exploring the sculpted form in clay, the painted surface and development of a personal narrative. Sergei Isupov FIGURE-GROUND: October 12–14

Join Sergei Isupov for a demonstration workshop featureing an illustrated lecture and group dinner on Friday evening. Saturday is a full day of demonstrations and includes lunch. Sunday is a half day of demonstration, (lunch is not included). If desired, participants are invited to schedule a 30-minute portfolio review with Isupov and/or Ferrin Contemporary’s gallery director, Leslie Ferrin on Sunday afternoon.
