Open House | July 2016

 

Our summer 2016 Open house has passed, thank you to all who attended. Information on our future open house events is coming soon.

Project Art 2016 Open House

Project Art will be hosting an Open House
Sat & Sun, July 23 & 24, 2016 10 am – 5 pm
in conjunction with the Hilltown 6 Pottery Tour

Join Artist-in-residence and Director Alexandra Jelleberg, as she invites special guest Mara Superior to show her signature porcelain pieces at Project Art.

Tour the studios and see recent works by Sergei Isupov, Kadri Pärnamets, and Paul Scott, as well as watercolor paintings by June Ferrin and selected works from Ferrin Contemporary’s recent exhibitions that include: Bouke de Vries, Stephen Young Lee, Peter Pincus, Vipoo Srivilasa, & Kurt Weiser.

Last but not least, along with friend Bradley Klem, Alex is the Founding Director of GrowlerFest , and will have Growlers and small works by the 2015 participants including Justin Rothshank, who will be having a duo show this fall with his wife Brooke at Ferrin Contemporary.

Project Art 2016 Open House

Project Art will be hosting an Open House
Sat & Sun, July 23 & 24, 2016 10 am – 5 pm
in conjunction with the Hilltown 6 Pottery Tour

GUEST ARTIST: Mara Superior
Ferrin Contemporary artist Mara Superior will be our guest this weekend. She will be presenting her recent work that includes salt-fired porcelain pieces pulled from a wood-fire kiln.

ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE
Selections fromPaul Scott‘s American Scenery Project and 2015 residency, as well as works in progress by artist-in-residence and Project Art directorAlexandra Jelleberg.

EAST STUDIO: Growlers and Drinking Vessels
Growlers and tumblers from GrowlerFest will be available from the 2015 participants includingBradley Klem and Justin Rothshank. Justin and his wife, Brooke Rothshank, will be featured in the exhibit “Know Justice” this fall atFerrin Contemporary.

SUMMER GALLERY
Selected works from Ferrin Contemporary’s recent exhibitions, including work by Bouke de Vries, Stephen Young Lee, Peter Pincus, Vipoo Srivilasa, and Kurt Weiser.

ISUPOV and PARNAMETS

JUNE FERRIN

artKamp: indigo mass

presented by Ferrin Contemporary
at Independent Art Projects
November 22, 2014, through January 4, 2015

In the Fall of 2014, one Australian and seven American artists converged on Project Art for two weeks to collaboratively create an all ceramic tablescape installation.
Envisioned by artist Vipoo Srivilasa, artKamp was an opportunity for  participating artists  Ben Carter, Chase Gamblin, Alexandra Jelleberg, Frances Palmer, Bonnie Smith, Mara Superior, Vipoo Srivilasa, and Elenor Wilson to expand their worldviews and build new connections.

View selected works created during artKamp, as well as  individual works by artKamp artists at artKamp : indigo mass at  Independent Art Projects, 1315 MASS MoCA Way, North Adams, MA from November 22, 2014 through January 4, 2015.

artKamp | Fall 2014 Artist Salons

Eight artists / Two weeks / One project

artKamp at Project Art is a two week cultural exchange residency featuring eight artists working on a common objective: creating a collaborative dinner set to be used for a farewell dinner at the end of the project.

Join us Friday, September 26, 6 to 9pm and Friday, October 3, 6 to 9pm for presentations by and discussions with artKamp artists, followed by  potluck dinners.

The Salons are free and open to the public, but limited to 30 people. RSVP by email to info@ProjectArt01026.com.
